Often confused with the Stewardess bag, the Ranch bag is a rarer, more functional silhouette featuring a full-length back slip pocket and a sleek bottom without feet.
Era: Pre-1994 (Registration #0863-109)
Origin: Handcrafted in the United States
Material: Rich glove-tanned leather that has aged beautifully with a natural patina.
Hardware: Solid brass turn-lock closure and strap buckle.
Features:Full-length exterior back slip pocket (perfect for a phone).Gusseted (expandable) front pocket under the main flap.Large main compartment with one interior zippered pocket.Long adjustable crossbody/shoulder strap.
Condition:Fair vintage condition. The leather is thick and supple. Strap rivet (not original)replaced at some point. Multiple ink and dark stains on interior and exterior. Please review photos carefully. (Approx):Width: 11"Height: 10"Depth: 4"

@staciegarber No, as far as I can tell it’s the original strap. The leather is the exact same thickness as the bag and the buckle is solid brass.

@staciegarber It is a Ranch bag. You’re right! I was having a hard time identifying due to the old serial numbers. I’ll correct the listing. The large stain on the bag is slightly raised and definitely leans closer to “tar”. The stains on the interior are a mix of raised tar and ink. She’s definitely lived a life. I’ve cleaned her twice inside and out. I’m afraid the remaining stains are there to stay. Hence my reduced listing price. I still think it’s a gorgeous bag despite her flaws.
