Vintage Coach Metropolitan Briefcase, Style #5180, in black with brass hardware. The Metropolitan is the vintage Coach bag featured in The Devil Wears Prada, though this particular style is slightly different from the movie version due to the squarer shape of the turnlock (Coach made this bag in a couple of different designs over time). Great unisex laptop bag or travel bag, or just a nice, large, daily workhorse bag that can be worn shoulder or crossbody. I think this is a 1995 bag, per the creed number. - Secure front flap with brass turnlock closure (a few scratches on the hardware, please see pics as I tried to capture them; could be buffed out, but I don't have the tools, I did polish with Brasso) - Hefty top handle - Brass buckles and detachable, adjustable shoulder strap - Roomy main compartment with small slip creed pocket - Large slip pocket in back - Large, roomy pocket in front - no hangtag - raw suede and leather interior - corners are in good shape, overall condition is very good for a vintage bag, light scratches and leather marks here and there, a bit of ink inside but it doesn't show on the exterior due to the black color. What looks like a crack on one corner is actually not, it's a seam in the leather where two pieces meet. - Exterior has been carefully cleaned with Lexol leather cleaner and conditioned with Leather CPR. Approximate measurements: Height: 11" Length: 16" Width: 3" Strap Drop: 20" (at the longest, can be adjusted shorter with the buckles)
