Vintage Singer buttonholer sewing machine attachment. It comes in the original distinctive green "clamshell" or "torpedo" case.
This attachment allows older, especially straight-stitch, sewing machines to create buttonholes. It includes several templates to make various buttonhole sizes.
It was produced by the Singer company in the 1960s, and is a popular item for collectors and sewing enthusiasts.
PLEASE NOTE: This has not been tested on a sewing machine but it was my mother's and I am sure she would not have kept it if it did not work. She was a master at sewing and used a Singer sewing machine for many years. The dial does work and moves the adjustable foot.
Comes in the original case with the original instruction booklet. The one side of case lid does not sit flush, slightly open (please see the last photo).
Please see the photos for approximate measurements.
Please remember when purchasing vintage items that they have a history attached to them and often show wear, which I do my very best to disclose.
