This wonderful handmade vintage pressed glass decorative tray likely dates from the late 1800s, and features a collage of cigar label and military ephemera affixed to the bottom glass and covered in old red felt.
The central figure is Admiral George Dewey (1837-1917), a 19th Century military hero.
The glass and ephemera are in great condition - no chips and very clean and bright - and note that the bottom of the tray has been patched (a very long time ago). The felt is slightly separating from the sides, however this is not readily noticeable.
This one of a kind piece measures approx 9" wide, 5" high, .5" depth.
