A beautiful piece of authentic Roaring Twenties history. This Edwardian / early Art Deco era evening bag is crafted from genuine Alpacca silver (German silver), renowned for its weight, durability, and bright, sterling-like luster. The frame features a deeply embossed, ornate classical scrollwork design, topped with an elegant kiss-lock clasp set with two glowing blue sapphire paste cabochons. The bottom is finished with a delicate, looped chain-link fringe that has fantastic movement. Product Details Era: Late Edwardian to Art Deco (circa 1910s - 1920s) Material: Alpaca Silver / Alpacca (German Silver) Clasp: Double kiss-lock set with dual blue sapphire cabochons Features: Embossed relief frame, original chain handle, and looped metal fringe. Condition Good antique condition with an authentic, unpolished patina. The clasp snaps together firmly and securely, and the sapphire cabochons are beautifully intact. Please note that as is common for delicate chainmail textiles nearing a century old, there are a few loose rings and minor separations in the mesh (primarily near the hinges/upper frame corners). The purse is still structurally sound for display or careful use, but is priced accordingly for these minor antique imperfections. Please review all close-up photos.
