Vintage Blue & White Ceramic Left Handed Southpaw Pitcher Decor Oregon Dutch Windmill
This is a vintage mid-century novelty "Southpaw" left-handed ceramic pitcher, typically produced in Japan during the 1950s or 1960s. Crafted in a classic Dutch Delftware style, the petite jug features crisp cobalt blue transferware illustrations on a glossy white glazed ceramic body. The front depicts an Old World landscape highlighting a traditional Dutch windmill, small cottages, and a sailboat. Framed by a delicate blue tulip border, the handle and pour spout are reversed to comfortably accommodate a left-handed user.
Back Details & Provenance: The reverse side of the pitcher transitions from the Dutch motif into a classic mid-century United States travel souvenir. It is beautifully illustrated with Oregon State Landmarks, making it a rare regional variant. Featured landmarks include a stylized map banner reading "Oregon" alongside notable geographic sights like Bonneville Dam, Mt. Hood, and the scenic Oregon coast. It serves as a fantastic piece of Pacific Northwest travel memorabilia.
