Large Lapis Lazuli Semi-Precious Stone Globe on Wood Base

This large globe has a bookend base made of wood with blue felt covering the base (pic 8). The globe is made of a dark blue lapis and features inlaid semi precious stones to represent different countries and continents. There are metallic gold inlays representing latitude and longitudinal lines (with degrees printed), as well as a red line for the equator. The continents and oceans are labelled (or mostly labelled). The piece can be used to hold up books on a shelf, or it can be used as a decoration elsewhere. I believe some of the stones used include mother of pearl, malachite and turquoise (or dyed howlite), as well as a rich lapis lazuli for the oceans. There is gentle wear, including some marks in the felt. The wood base is in good condition and the globe itself does not have any chips, cracks, or other damage.
