Stunning collectible antique early Mexico modernist silver screw-back earrings . In the 1920s, early modernist Mexican jewelry evolved as a fusion of European Art Deco with bold, pre-Columbian Mesoamerican aesthetics. These earrings are beautifully constructed. They are articulated giving them movement and interest. They are about 1 1/8" long X 1" wide and weigh 8.2 grams. They are marked “ Mexico Silver “. Tĥey test as high content silver, but I can not verify the actual silver content. These earrings were cleaned, but the patina has been left intact. All jewelry is cleaned prior to shipping. Patina will be maintained when appropriate. Earrings are disinfected and are sent with new backs if they are pierced and a soft cleaning cloth.
