The Arc'teryx Palisade is a pair of hiking shorts that will keep you moving on trail and looking good in town in equal proportion. This model earns its place for its balance of function and style and comes equipped with a really nice set of features. -Felted waist band for ultimate comfort + reduce chafing on longer trails. -5 zippered pockets (3 mesh lined, 2 cargo pockets integrated into the shorts), no matter what you put here you know it will be safe. -The material is lightweight and breathable. The fabric is durable but not stifling, and the mesh pockets facilitate ventilation. They also repel water pretty well, and dry fast! -Snap enclosure and hook enclosure for the built in easy adjust belt. -With a 10" inseam, on most wearers they fall slightly above the knee, offering a cooler wearer experience These shorts are high tech with a high price tag, and I’m not sure they even make these anymore. I think it’s the Gamma now. But we are clearing out our closet, and these do have the flaw of a small hole on the back, noted in the photos. So that’s why they are priced to go!
