This stunning hand-embroidered evening bag is characterized by "Zardozi," a centuries-old Persian embroidery technique that uses metallic-bound threads (traditionally gold and silver) to create elaborate, raised designs. The body of the bag is black velvet and there is a gold rope wrist strap. The floral design is on both sides of the bag.
This bag dates from the 1950s and belonged to my grandmother. It was made in India.
Considering the age, it is in pristine condition.
I do not see any thread loss or wear. Please see photos.
Comes with the original box. Snap closure.
Measures 8" x 4". Bag accordions to 1.5"
