Vintage 16" Polish Style Cloth Sawdust Doll Celluloid Plastic Head, Soft Body

Vintage cloth body folk doll featuring a molded composition/plastic face, blonde braided hair, and beautiful side-glancing blue eyes. This charming doll has a wonderfully expressive face and retains the character and craftsmanship often found in mid-century European folk dolls. The doll is unmarked but appears to be an older example, with a cloth body that appears to be stuffed with sawdust or wood wool, a traditional filling material commonly used in vintage dolls, though I cannot confirm the exact stuffing material. Her construction, braided hairstyle, and folk-art appearance are reminiscent of dolls produced in Poland and other parts of Eastern Europe during the mid-20th century.
