It should be enough for shorter distance running. It's hard to say. Some like their chest very compressed, while others are just looking for support. I would say this is perhaps enough support for short runs. However, if you are looking for something that is long distance, you may want something that has a bit more compression. There are compression sports bras made by 2XU and perhaps others that will give very good support.
