A folk-art inspired Canadian boutique design from the late 1980s, made in lightweight travel-friendly viscose , a skirt that transforms into a strapless dress thanks to its fully smocked upper panel. The vibrant striped pattern is distinctive: it evokes traditional Alpine & Tyrolean textiles, blending tomato red, pine green, ivory and black in an artistic arrangement reminiscent of woven ribbons, folk embroidery and heritage costume details. Designed and made in Canada by Montreal designer Lyne Byette for Biarro, this piece reflects the creative, boutique fashion scene of the late 1980s to early 1990s. The lightweight 100% viscose fabric drapes beautifully, packs easily and is comfortable to wear, its dual use and washability make it an ideal travel companion.
