Vintage Handcrafted Wooden Keepsake Box Buddha Finial, Artisan, Zen Meditation

This artisan keepsake box is a masterwork of technical joinery, featuring a high-skill integrated wooden "knuckle" hinge and contrasting splined miter corners. The box is themed with a serene Buddha head finial on the lid and a matching framed relief plaque on the interior. The warm, honey-toned hardwood and precise construction make this a functional piece of sculpture. The bottom is marked with the artisan's name Norman K Martin. Size: Approximately 5.5" wide, 4.75" deep, and 3.25" tall ( not including the finial). Condition: Good vintage handcrafted condition. The wood has a smooth, satin finish with vibrant grain. A small, minor indentation/compression mark is present on the back edge of the lid (see macro photos), the lid sits slightly askew and there is one chip on the bottom edge which is consistent with the age of a vintage handmade object. The inside buddha face tile has some surface wear and is pressure-fitted, removable and double-sided. The other side has an unknown asian symbol, so you can choose which side you want to see.
