Vintage 70s Indian block print gauze dressmaker made maxi

Length is 55’” bust is 36,” waist is 29,” sweep at hips is 49,” sleeves are 25” at longest point & 18.5” at shortest (inner arm seam). This is a special dress: it was home sewn from a gorgeous Indian block print tapestry & the maker knew enough to lay out the fabric so you don’t have flower pasties. The bodice has bust & waist darts which is a detail you never see in ready to wear anymore. The sleeves are not actually angel sleeves, but have been cut so they come to a point at the outer sleeve & are shorter at the inner sleeve. The front closes with a 20” metal zip. The fabric has areas of wear at the hem which I have photographed, but these don’t affect the wearability or appearance of the dress. The combination of an almost coral red, olive green, & black is spectacular.
