This briefcase, made in the years just after Cashin's tenure, is a direct heir to everything she built: clean silhouette, brass hardware, uncompromising leather quality, still made by hand in New York City. Dating & Provenance: The interior creed — "Made in New York City, U.S.A." — was retired in the early 1980s, immediately marking this as one of Coach's most collectible periods. Registration number No: 548-0918 is consistent with Coach's 1970s serial format, placing production at c. 1976–1982.
