Rare Vintage 1930's Indonesian Yogya 800 Silver Lotus Flower Bracelet

This lovely vintage 1930's Indonesian Yogya bracelet is from the Dutch Colonial era. These repousse’ bracelets were hand crafted by skilled artisans in 800 silver during the period when the Dutch governors wife was trying to revive the local silver trade. This lovely piece features an ornate lotus blossom surrounded by flowing leaves. The design is raised with a blackened background. The bracelet is 1 7/8" wide at it's widest point and weighs 41.88 grams. This bracelet will fit a larger wrist, with the interior measuring 2 5/8 by 2 1/4" and an opening of 7/8". It measures 6 3/4” around the inside. The bracelet can be adjusted up or down slightly. The bracelet is marked 800 MD, the MD is the makers mark. A rare find!
