This pair of vintage stoneware crocks features a rich, dark brown Albany-style glaze with a high-gloss finish. These small cylindrical vessels are designed with a classic rimmed top and they each have a pair of holes opposite each other near the top. These would make great vessels for pens and pencils, makeup brushes, toothbrushes, etc. Or, add wire or a cord through the holes, and they can be used as small hanging planters.
These are in excellent vintage condition with no cracks or repairs. They measure approximately 4" high and 3-1/2" in diameter.
The unglazed bottoms show hand-turned concentric rings and handwritten markings, suggesting an artisanal or small-batch production.
Because this is a vintage item, it may show minor imperfections and wear, which add to its character and story.
