A striking Victorian-era fleur-de-lis brooch dating to approximately 1870–1895. This substantial piece features classic 19th-century construction, including a simple tube hinge, extended pin stem, and early open C-clasp. The pin extends beyond the width of the brooch, a hallmark of earlier craftsmanship prior to the adoption of modern safety clasps in the early 20th century. The design is a bold, architectural fleur-de-lis with richly textured beaded detailing and dimensional form. Its weight and structure suggest it was originally worn as a sash or cloak brooch rather than a delicate lapel pin. Crafted in cast brass, the piece carries the warm patina only time can produce. The surface shows honest wear and oxidation, adding to its antique character. There are no maker’s marks present.
