This outstanding piece is likely from Portugal. This determination not only thanks to the unusual karat-19.2k, or 800 gold, that is common to that country, but also by the quality of the filigree work and the tiny wire work beadwork around the rim of the cameo. The gold is testing between 19.2-20k with XRF gun. It weighs a total of 9.47 grams. The enamel at the center is exceptional. There are signs of wear on the enamel from use and age.
