*RARE* Vintage Benedikt NY Amber Colored Glass Cabochon Star Brooch

Benedikt NY costume jewelry was produced by Howard Benedikt in New York City between 1955 and 1963 (some sources say up to 1973). Known for high-quality, often chunky, and whimsical designs, these pieces typically feature gold-tone metal, faux pearls, rhinestones, and cabochons in motifs like butterflies, Maltese crosses, and florals. Pieces are considered highly collectible and relatively hard to find. This stunning brooch features a prominent five-pointed star set atop a circular arrangement of five amber-colored, cabochon-cut glass stones, with a central faceted citrine-colored rhinestone.
