Stunning, authentic antique 1920s Wiltshaw & Robinson (W&R) Carlton Ware "Armand" lustre ware vase. Made in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England. Item Details: Maker: Wiltshaw & Robinson / Carlton WareLine/Pattern: Armand Lustre Ware (Pattern 139/2134) Era: Art Deco (Circa 1920–1926) Design: Exquisite polychrome butterflies, moths, and insects hand-painted over a beautifully mottled powder blue lustre ground. Finished with brilliant gold/gilt rims and accents. Backstamp: Features the rare, early printed "Crown and Swallow" backstamp with "W&R Stoke-on-Trent" and "Made in England" on the base, dating it precisely to the early 1920s. Condition: Good antique condition overall. The body features beautiful iridescence in the lustre glaze with no chips or cracks. Please note: There is visible antique wear to the gold gilt rim along the top lip and edges, consistent with its age and history (as shown in photos). The butterfly graphics and main body details remain wonderfully preserved.
