From my personal collection: A Vintage Silk Brocade Japanese Obi in a stunning array of purples with geometric and floral pattern in white and metallic silver. Reverse is purple, in an ombré pattern. The last photo shows both sides. I display my obis folded in half. These are quite long, and will need to be folded to fit the top of your table, dresser, or sideboard. I use these as decor, over my side board, changing them seasonally or whenever I update my color scheme. Their original, intended purpose was to be worn around a kimono, but they are wide, heavy and cumbersome and need to be wrapped by someone skilled in the art of wearing this traditional Japanese kimono accessory. Obis can also be used as wall hangings, or draped over a bed or sofa. I just personally prefer to use them as long runners. Excellent Vintage Condition! There are some creases from being stored folded but I will try and press them out before shipping.
