This is a wonderfully whimsical bronze wall hook featuring a rabbit and quarter moon face to face while the rabbit is rowing along. It is 8 1/2" long and 5" wide. This has a double hook. The Moon rabbit or Moon hare is a mythical figure in East Asian and indigenous American folklore, based on pareidolic interpretations that identify the dark markings on the near side of the Moon as a rabbit or hare. This piece plays off of that relationship in the mythology.
