This is a rare and beautiful trio of original vintage watercolor paintings by renowned Cornish artist Thomas Herbert Victor (British, 1894-1980). Known for his charming, atmospheric depictions of coastal village life, harbours, and street scenes around Cornwall, England, Victor's work is highly collectible and sought after by enthusiasts of traditional British marine and landscape art. Born in Penzance, Victor spent nearly his entire life in the historic fishing village of Mousehole, where he famously operated his own art studio and shop during the 1960s. He demonstrated exceptional talent from an early age, earning local art scholarships to study in Penzance, followed by prestigious offers to study at the Slade School of Fine Art. Today, his detailed pieces serve as highly valuable historical records of the Cornwall coast, capturing villages like Mousehole, Newlyn, and St. Ives exactly as they stood a century ago.
