Celebrate America’s Bicentennial with this vintage 1975 First Day Issue postcard honoring Salem Poor, a Revolutionary War soldier recognized for his bravery at the Battle of Bunker Hill. The postcard features the 10¢ “Contributors to the Cause” U.S. commemorative stamp with a March 25, 1975 First Day of Issue cancellation from Cambridge, Massachusetts. The reverse includes historical information about the First Rhode Island Regiment and identifies the publisher as K/S Historical Publications (1969).
