Vintage Arthur Singer framed bird print originally commissioned in 1957 for the American Home Magazine. This print is #6 of his 8 bird series. Featuring the Common (Willow) Goldfinch—the state bird for Iowa, Minnesota, New Jersey, and Washington—this piece also highlights the iconic flora and fauna of those regions: Wild Rose from Iowa, Showy Ladyslipper from Minnesota, Violet from New Jersey, Coast Rhododendron from Washington.
The 13" x 11" glass covered dark wood-look frame holds the 10" x 13" print with a ivory mat. The mat covers part of the copy so you can remove it if you prefer to see the full print. You will note that the frame is really old with the backing from cardboard and a hook strung with wire hanger. I would advise not attempting to remove the print from the backing as they are very old and the tape does not remove easily without tearing the paper. I learned this the hard way when I tried to reframe one of the other prints (#1 Cardinal, see separate listing). I originally purchased several already framed prints at an auction, then later found an entire set unframed. Feel free to ask questions or make a reasonable offer. I try to price fairly; please take into consideration that Poshmark takes 20%. Bundle to Save! Happy Poshing!
