Red Wing Stoneware Co. + Saint James Hotel Kitchen Utensil Crock One of a kind piece for ceramics enthusiasts and Red Wing pottery collectors! Only a few of a kind, highly bespoke Red Wing sandstone ceramic kitchen crock with trademark Red Wing logo on one side and “St. James Hotel Est. 1875” on the other. Name mark also hand stamped on the bottom of the piece with the “MC” shield mark, designating its authenticity. Made exclusively for the historic Saint James hotel, which sits across the street from the Red Wing Shoe company. This internationally recognized hotel has maintained a vendor relationship with Red Wing pottery for nearly a century and utilizes ceramic pieces in its boutique style rooms, restaurants and bars as well as highlighting antique pieces throughout the hotel’s common areas. This piece was acquired directly from the Red Wing museum collection. Hand thrown, natural stoneware clay fired with iconic blue glaze striping & red logo mark complementing a variety of decor styles. Used only as a display item for many years. This piece is in pristine vintage condition. No major damage or defects.
