(2/$20) V. Dangling Charm Sweater Pins

This vintage sweater guard is made of a silver tone metal and, rather than using clips, has a pointed pin on either end. The piece is quite rounded and feels a bit puffy, almost like the metal is half plastic. Between the two pins there are 7 little dangling "charms". I can see two bows and a butterfly in the center, but the remaining dangling pieces look to be closer to abstract shapes. There is normal wear throughout, including tone darkening (especially in the crevices), but it is still very wearable. That said, the originally pin backings are no longer with the piece, so I will include new backings. The use of pins in sweater guards was popular in the 1940s to 1960s, before the clip was popularized.
