This unique vintage figural hand ring is a bold statement piece from the 1970s, crafted in solid 14 karat yellow gold. The ring features an intricately detailed human hand with splayed fingers, one of which "wears" its own miniature diamond-set ring.
This substantial piece weighs 7.58 grams and showcases a textured, brushed gold finish that gives it a lifelike, "surrealist" appearance. The design is often referred to as a "glamour hand" or "ladyfinger" ring, characterized by the hand motif that appears to reach out or grasp the wearer's index "glamour hand". Adorning the index or middle finger of the gold hand is a small, brilliant-cut diamond, around 5 points (0.05 carats) in size, set in a miniature ring band.
This striking 1970s modernist design features flowing organic lines with a sparkling natural round diamond accent that beautifully embodies the artistic freeform style that made 1970s jewelry so collectible.
