Vintage Seminole Miccosukee Patchwork Native Skirt Sz Med Estimated 1950s

Beautiful handmade vintage patchwork skirt featuring colorful geometric pieced patchwork bands, extensive ric-rac trim, and a gathered black cotton body with a snap and also metal hook waistband closure. The construction and patchwork technique are strongly reminiscent of Seminole/Miccosukee patchwork traditions. However, I do not have documentation regarding the maker or tribal affiliation, so I am describing it as Seminole patchwork style rather than attributing it to a specific maker or tribe. Handmade with pieced geometric cotton patchwork (not printed fabric), multiple decorative bands, and sewn-on metal PRYM snaps at the waistband.
