Vintage Signed Carved Bone Hair Comb – Intricate Openwork Design

Beautiful vintage carved bone hair comb, purchased from an antique shop years ago. Made from natural bone (not ivory), this is a truly distinctive piece with intricate pierced carving and remarkable attention to detail. It bears the maker’s monogram on the reverse (see photos). I have rarely come across another comb quite like it. It feels smooth and comfortable in the hand, and the long, finely tapered teeth hold the hair securely. I’ve always appreciated this piece and its craftsmanship, but I no longer use it and would love to see it enjoyed by someone who will. Measurements: approximately 13 cm × 8 cm (5.1 × 3.1 in).
