Antique English 1818 Brass Claw Footed Trivet

A lovely antique brass kettle trivet estimated to be from the early 1900’s to late 1800’s. This trivet features 4 legs with paw feet and a cut out design top. These types of trivets were mostly used next to the fireplace in a kitchen to use when a kettle or pot was removed from the fireplace.Here is a really great smaller trivet that can be multi functional. You could use it on a dining table to hold a hot pot or as I used it primarily to hold some of my fine pottery and ceramics. The paw feet add a level of architectural merit.
