Sorry for the delay. I just tried on the jacket with my Patagonia Fleece underneath and it felt fine (all my sweaters are in bins for the summer). The fleece is Women's Better Sweater Oversized Fleece Coat if you wanna look it up to get a sense of how thick it is. That said not sure how this translates to you typically being a small
