The House, luxury being their forté, has been well established and respected in the industry spanning over the course of 35 years. This piece is one of a kind and mueseum/Sotheby’s quality. Pleasantly acquired from a Luxury High Jewelry Estate which offered spectacular pieces unlike any others! Appraisal is on hand with all of the specifics. Featuring the Spider Pendant, approximately 138 years old, this is an Antique. Finely crafted from Amethyst, rose cut diamond, and sapphire spider pendant featuring (1) large deep purple amethyst weighing approximately 47.4 total carats, (94) rose cut diamonds weighing approximately 1.00 total carats, (2) round native blue Montana sapphires as eyes weighing approximately 0.10 total carats, and (3) round pink sapphires weighing approximately 0.40 total carats set in silver and gold gilt. Unmarked. Estate piece, one of a kind and STUNNING! This pendant is older than the Eiffel Tower and in those days, also, there was no electricity- rose cut diamonds were used (before brilliant cut) and they are known to emit a soft glow by candlelight.
