Edwardian Era White Cotton Day Dress

From early 20th century, an Edwardian era white cotton day dress. By day dress we mean a dress, not a nightgown, that would have been worn in early morning on hot summer days before one dressed more formally for public view. It's highlight is the 1" open work trim that enhances the jewel neckline, the inverted V bodice and the cuffs of the sleeves. At the front waistline is a sewn placket that curves down the skirt to straight at the bottom of the back. The dress closes with hooks/eyes at the back (who closed all these dresses for these ladies?). We counted 13. At the waist, the hook/eyes veer to the left on an unfinished interior placket. Note some of the seams are French seamed--we believe the dress was home tailored with machine stitching. No maker label Size--no size label--NOTE--we would deem this an XSM. The following measurements are approximate: Bust-21" pit to pit (recall that during this era, bodices were more blouson); 22" waist (yes, we are impressed also); 32" hip; 14 1/2" across back; 13 1/2" shoulder to waist; 17" sleeves; 52" long to 2 1/2" hem Condition: very good vintage.
