This item is a traditional Shipibo-Conibo polychrome pottery bowl handcrafted by the indigenous Shipibo-Conibo people of the Peruvian Amazon basin Cultural Heritage: Primarily created and passed down by women, the Kené designs were declared part of the Cultural Heritage of the Nation in Peru in 2008 Cultural Origin: Created by the Shipibo-Conibo community along the Ucayali River in Peru. Artistic Style: The intricate maze-like patterns painted across the surface are known as Kené (or Quenepo) designs. These geometric motifs represent the tribe's worldview, cosmic maps, and healing visions experienced during spiritual ceremonies. Kené are often inspired by ayahuasca visions.
