Description: Up for sale is a beautifully crafted vintage studio art pottery pillow-shaped Ikebana vessel. Designed for minimalist Japanese-style floral arrangements, this functional piece features a central well equipped with a built-in metal pin frog (kenzan) to securely hold stems. The vase features an elegant matte teal-green or celadon background, accented with delicate hand-painted brown branches, blue leaves, and white blossoms. The underside is cleanly stamped with an "MK" maker's monogram, identifying it as an authentic work from an independent studio ceramicist. It has a wonderful weight and excellent artisan craftsmanship. Condition: Great vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or visible crazing. The metal pins in the flower frog are firm, and fully functional, however not all quite straight.
