Food Chopper Vintage Federal Housewares manual food chopper with a clear glass jar, dark green plastic lid and handle, metal push rod, white plunger knob, and stainless-steel chopping blades. Pressing the top plunger moves the blade assembly straight up and down, repeatedly chopping food against the bottom of the glass jar. The blades do not rotate. The glass base is embossed “Federal Housewares, Chicago”, and the blade is stamped “Stainless Steel.” This type of push chopper appears consistent with American kitchenware from approximately the 1960s–1970s, although an exact production year is not marked.
