Crafted from heavy-duty, solid Swedish lead crystal, this substantial "ice block" or "iceberg" features a finely detailed, intaglio-etched motif of a majestic stag/deer standing next to a pine tree. The sculpture sits securely on an integrated, thick, rectangular glass base. Designed during the height of Sweden's mid-century glass movement, the front face is polished completely flat to provide a clear window to the artwork. The perimeter features a heavily textured, hand-chipped style that beautifully mimics raw arctic ice and catches light from every angle. Structural Condition: Excellent vintage condition. There are no chips or cracks anywhere on the crystal. Cosmetic Condition: The piece has some dust and light dirt buildup around the crevices of the bottom base area from age and display (as shown in the detailed photos). It can easily be cleaned up by the buyer if desired.
