S/M is based on measurements and especially the length of the sweater being only 24" - consider this a over-sized but boxy, or cropped fit I was able to read "Made in Italy" on the tag and see it had 2 to 3 fabrics listed the first being "lana" (wool), which helped me locate the brand and fabric content of this sweater. I was able to find this exact sweater from another seller & took screen-shots of the brand & fabric content tags.
