These famed wrap dresses are made of a wonderful fabric that is 100% silk, but is closer to a knit than a satin; consequently, it is easy to dress them up and down by changing accessories. For this reason, I always have one or two in my wardrobe, and they have not disappointed in decades, aided by the fact that I love the history (told in the last three photos). Fit: please see measurements. Though there is some stretch, pulling the fabric too much stretches out the design, which becomes visible. I used the inner seams of the dress to measure, and the length falls to 40 inches. Classic wrap silhouette with V-neck and self-tie waist. Long sleeves and midi length.
