Vintage April Cornell Chinese Tang Jacket – Size S –Black/Red Brocade Medallions

This vintage April Cornell Chinese Tang jacket is a classic statement piece. It features ornate red brocade medallions set against a black base (in Chinese culture, red is considered the luckiest and most auspicious color – it symbolizes good fortune, happiness, success and long life). It has a round collar and covered buttons. The tag suggests this piece is from the 1990s or early 2000s; it’s in very good pre-loved condition. It was professionally dry-cleaned immediately prior to listing on Poshmark. Measures 19” (48cm) from pit-to-pit, and 22” (56cm) long April Cornell was founded in Montreal in 1975, and its offices and Canadian flagship remain there to this day. The company supports first-generation learners in India, assists at-risk youth in Vermont, and collaborates with women’s groups and shelters in Montreal.
