Vintage Native American High Matrix Turquoise Sterling Ring Size 4.5

Vintage Native American turquoise ring handcrafted in unmarked sterling silver. The ring features a large asymmetrical turquoise cabochon with dramatic blue, gray, brown and black natural matrix. A twisted silver rope border surrounds the stone, while a simple handmade band keeps the focus on the unusually patterned turquoise. The stone responds strongly to a magnet while the silver setting does not. This is most likely caused by naturally occurring iron-rich material within the heavy matrix. No laboratory analysis has been performed, and no specific turquoise mine is attributed. The ring is unsigned, so its individual maker cannot be identified.
