The title page identifies this compact edition as "Agate, 32mo. This little pocket-size New Testament measures approximately 4 3/4" high x 3 1/4" wide and features a black embossed/textured cover with decorative Victorian-style detailing and red page edges. The title page reads in part: The New Testament of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ Translated out of the Original Greek American Bible Society – New York 1903 Approximate size: 4 3/4" H x 3 1/4" W A wonderful surviving example of an early 20th-century pocket Bible, suitable for a collection of antique Bibles, Christian ephemera, religious history, or American Bible Society publications. Condition: Antique condition with substantial age-related wear. The black cover shows rubbing, scuffs, edge and corner wear. The red page edges show fading, discoloration and wear. There is visible deterioration/separation and loss around the interior endpaper/hinge area, along with toning, spotting and general age wear to the pages. Please see all pictures for condition.
