vintage 14k ringmid century ring1960s cocktail ring
A striking Mid-Century cocktail ring with exceptional color and sculptural detail, this vintage 14K yellow gold ring is believed to date to approximately the 1960s. Six oval spinels create a vibrant gemstone spray in rich jewel tones of pink, raspberry, plum, lavender, purple, and deep blue/blue-gray. Two petite clear sapphires add delicate points of brightness. The beautifully sculpted setting features sweeping ribbon-like 14K gold accents curling around and between the gemstones. The airy, dimensional openwork design is reminiscent of flowing ribbons or an abstract floral spray—a wonderful example of colorful Mid-Century fine jewelry. DETAILS • 14K yellow gold, marked 14K • Six multicolor oval spinels • Two clear sapphire accents • Ring size: 6.75 • Weight: approx. 4.28 grams • Spinels: approx. 5 × 4 mm each • Sapphires: approx. 1.5 mm each Very good vintage condition with light surface wear consistent with age and careful ownership. Carefully cleaned and ready to wear. Gemstones were evaluated with a Presidium Gem Tester II, which identified the colored stones as spinel and clear accents as sapphire. Testing cannot distinguish natural from laboratory-grown gemstones of the same material. Measurements are approximate. Macro photos may make the ring appear larger than actual size. Please review all photos carefully. Ring only; photo props are not included. Ships carefully packaged in a new jewelry gift box.
