Coty New York Gold Tone Mirror Compact Book Design Hinged MCM Nice Collectible

For your consideration is a vintage Coty New York gold tone mirrored compact. This fabulous compact is gold tone with engine turned decoration giving a deep textured look on the cover and spine and is constructed to give the appearance of a closed book. The body overhangs slightly making the clasp hidden from view. It also has side walls which form the pages of the book. Inside is a beveled mirror and a well with powder still in it. The cover of the well has the Coty signature. It’s a wonderful vintage collectible from the glamour days of long ago. It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words. Please refer to the photos as they’re part of the description. The mirror has some silvering, but is still useable. There’s a little wear, consistent with age and use.
