Michael Simon Multicolor Pop-Art Sweater top

Vintage 1997 Michael Simon New York "Pop Art" face knit sweater. Features colorful, hand-crafted portrait squares with different faces/hair, almost like a wearable pop-art collage, made from felt. Contrasting color-blocked sleeves and black knit piping/trim throughout. The back is mostly cream knit with a single portrait patch at the shoulder. Michael Simon pieces from this era are highly sought after collectibles and rare. The designer lived in New York and started making pieces for his close friends who did ballet. His pieces got increasingly popular amongst the dance community and eventually expanded into the collectors items we see today, especially his funky sweaters. In excellent condition, no flaws.
