Beautiful vintage Carrousel girls' holiday dress, size 10, made in the USA. This is an especially charming vintage piece with an elaborate Christmas/holiday botanical print. Brand: Carrousel Size: Girls 10 Material: 100% cotton, exclusive of trim Made in: USA Style: X42612 RN: 17175 Closure: Original button-back closure Waist: Adjustable back tie Collar: Oversized embroidered ivory lace ruffle Sleeves: Puff sleeves with red satin bow accents Based on the Carrousel label styling, Made in U.S.A. manufacturing, RN/tag construction, silhouette, oversized lace collar and overall design, I would describe this as likely late 1980s to early 1990s, rather than assigning an exact year without additional documentation. It has a fantastic Laura Ashley/Victorian revival/holiday portrait aesthetic that collectors of vintage children's clothing look for. Very good vintage pre-owned condition overall. All original back buttons are intact. There is a brown-colored area within the printed design near the lower front of the skirt, shown clearly in the photos. This is NOT a surface stain. The brown coloration appears to be within the fabric/printing itself and follows the lines/details of the surrounding design, indicating a printing/fabric irregularity or manufacturing defect. It is being disclosed for accuracy and is much less conspicuous when viewing the dress.
