1940s Vintage Dress, Woven Blue Handmade Dress With Tie Academic Secretary Sz S

Expertly restored by my vintage collector aunt, this amazing 1940s dress has a fun academic style that is a bit preppy and very classy. It is a woven blue fabric with white embellishments. It zips up the back (zipper works fine, my dress form is just a bit too big in the waist)  it has belt loops but no belt. The dress was carefully cleaned and several buttons repaired by my aunt to return it to its former glory. Now, the only flaw is a little browning at the bottom of the tie. I have not tried my own hand at cleaning it to see what can be done. The zipper can be a little sticky due to some loose fabric strings, but if zippered with care, it works beautifully! The top of the dress is unlined, and there is a delicate, loosely woven lining for the skirt. Measurements are taken flat, in inches: Shoulders: no seams so a bit flexible, but best fit is probably 15/16. Chest: 17 pit to pit with more room in the front due to the bust shaping.
